There were times when we accepted a simpler life. A simple roof over our heads, a fire to keep warm and to cook our food.
There were times when we understood the meaning of good behaviour. Regardless of religion or laws, we knew what was right and we attempted to follow that code.
There were times when we treated our neighbours like ourselves. Their good welfare was ours.
